Most organizations don’t struggle because of their mission; they struggle because they are not consistently seen, funded, or positioned to grow.

Devorah Kermisch founded The Devorah Group to solve that problem.

With more than 20 years of experience, she advises nonprofit and mission-driven organizations on how to generate revenue, expand visibility, and build the infrastructure required to sustain both. Her work is focused on execution designing strategies that translate directly into funding, partnerships, and measurable growth.

Devorah has led initiatives across national organizations, including the American Diabetes Association and March of Dimes, overseeing multi-market operations, complex stakeholder environments, and diversified revenue strategies spanning major gifts, corporate partnerships, and large-scale events.

She brings a track record of delivering results at scale—securing long-term corporate sponsorships, designing revenue-generating initiatives, and activating community engagement across thousands of participants. Notably, she secured a title sponsor for a 15,000-attendee concert series that remained in place for more than six years.Her experience includes leadership roles within organizations overseeing up to $167 million in assets, providing exposure to large-scale operations, complex financial environments, and the systems required to support growth and accountability

Known for her direct, results-driven approach, Devorah works with organizations that are ready to move beyond ideas, helping them become more visible, more competitive, and more financially sustainable.

Karl D. Tomecek is a seasoned technology executive, solutions architect, and software developer with more than 25 years of experience leading enterprise IT strategy, digital transformation, and cloud-native application development. He brings this depth of expertise to The Devorah Group, strengthening the firm’s ability to design and implement scalable systems that support revenue growth, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

Karl has held senior leadership roles, including Chief Technology & Operations Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Global IT Director. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale modernization and digital transformation initiatives for Fortune 500 companies, international organizations, and mission-driven nonprofits.

At The Devorah Group, Karl works alongside Devorah Kermisch to ensure that strategy is fully supported by the systems and infrastructure required to execute it. His work focuses on replacing fragmented, manual processes with integrated, scalable solutions that improve visibility, streamline operations, and reduce administrative burden—allowing organizations to focus on growth and impact.

Karl is also the founder of Therminite LLC, a technology consultancy specializing in cloud-based solutions for nonprofit and purpose-driven organizations. His experience includes the architecture and development of a multi-tenant case management platform built on Microsoft Azure, designed to standardize documentation, track outcomes, and simplify regulatory and funding requirements across multiple locations.

Known for his practical, execution-focused approach, Karl translates complex organizational needs into durable, high-impact systems. His work ensures that the strategies developed through The Devorah Group are not only well-designed, but fully operational, scalable, and built to deliver measurable results.
